Vanadinite is an uncommon mineral that typically forms in small red hexagonal crystals. Vanadinite actually belongs to the Apatite group of phosphates which is one of the main industrial ores of the metal vanadium, and contains a very small amount of lead.

This specimen has rust-red colored Vanadinite crystals along the edge adding a nice warm-colored sparkling accent. This is a larger specimen, and would be great for decoration, for school projects or presentations, or for adding to a collection!
