Danburite is a calcium boron silicate that belongs to the silicate class of minerals. It was first discovered in Danbury, Connecticut, US, giving the name origin. Though it has been found in Mexico, Japan, Burma, Russia and Madagascar. It has an interestingly unusual prismatic configuration, generally occurring as clear or white, it also can be found in yellow, pink and brown.
