Rutilated Quartz is a transparent type of Quartz that has natural needle-like Rutile inclusions. Rutile means "reddish" in Latin, and typically the Rutile embedded is reddish but can also be golden, silvery, or very rarely, greenish. Rutilated Quartz sits at a 7 on the Mohs Scale.

These Rutilated Quartz pieces show a great champagne to brown/black color variation, because of their high hardness rating these would be great pieces for tumbling to reveal their true beauty! The size of these pieces would make them great for wire-wrapping as well.
