Labradorite is a member of the feldspar family and is a cousin to Moonstone, Sunstone and Blue Feldspar. Labradorite can exhibit an iridescent effect, also called chatoyancy, that reflects blue, purple, yellow and pink across the surface of parts of the stone.  

These Labradorite Cabochons have been cut and polished to show off the incredible chatoyancy distinct to Labradorite. The colors range from light blueish-grey to dark grey, with portions of deep grey/green. The streaks and inclusions create a one-of-a-kind depth and flash exhibited in this piece. Great stones for meditation or on an altar.
