Rutilated Quartz is a transparent type of Quartz that has natural needle-like Rutile inclusions. Rutile means "reddish" in Latin, and typically the Rutile embedded is reddish but can also be golden, silvery, or very rarely, greenish. Rutilated Quartz sits at a 7 on the Mohs Scale.

These Rutilated Quartz pieces have stunning variation in color throughout each portion, from deep golden browns to rich purples, and mystifying cloudy whites. The embedded golden/reddish rutile inclusions are very apparent and add a one-of-a-kind depth and distinction that could only be found in Rutilated Quartz.
