This October, Silver Cove is heading to the Toronto Rock N’ Gem Show, and for the very first time, CanGems will be bringing the Rock N’ Gem Show experience to The International Centre in Mississauga!
For us, every stop on the CanGems tour is exciting — but there's something extra special about arriving somewhere new.
New visitors. New collectors. New families discovering the show for the first time.
And, of course, a whole lot of rocks.
Silver Cove Is Bringing the Treasures
Silver Cove travels across Canada throughout the year with an enormous and ever-changing collection of natural treasures.
For Toronto/Mississauga, we're bringing an incredible selection of crystals, minerals, fossils, gemstones, jewelry, beads, carvings, lapidary supplies, home décor, polished pieces, rough stone, collector specimens and unique finds to explore.
Whether you're searching for one particular mineral or simply planning to wander until something catches your eye, that's part of what makes a Rock N’ Gem Show so much fun.
You never really know what you're going to discover.
Something Different Around Every Corner
Silver Cove is only one part of the experience.
The Toronto Rock N’ Gem Show will also bring together vendors travelling from across Canada, including collectors, artisans, lapidary artists, miners and small businesses, each bringing their own specialties, knowledge and treasures to the event.
That means one booth might introduce you to a fascinating mineral specimen while another has handcrafted jewelry, fossils, polished stones, carvings or something you've never encountered before.
Take your time.

Because sometimes the best find at a gem show is the one you weren't looking for.
A Show for Collectors — and the Simply Curious
You definitely don't need to be an experienced rockhound to enjoy the Toronto Rock N’ Gem Show.
That's one of the things we love most about these events.
Experienced collectors can search for unusual specimens and additions to their collections, while someone attending their very first gem show can simply come in and explore.
For children and families, the show can also be an incredible opportunity to see rocks, minerals and fossils up close, ask questions and learn more about geology and the natural world.
Sometimes one interesting fossil or sparkling mineral is all it takes to create a brand-new rockhound.
Curiosity is always welcome here.
From Alberta to Ontario
Taking Silver Cove on the road is no small undertaking.
Behind every finished show are kilometres of travel, trucks, pallets, boxes, displays and a road crew working behind the scenes to bring everything together.
Products are packed.
The trucks hit the road.
Everything gets unloaded.
Thousands of pieces are unpacked and displayed.
And eventually, an empty space becomes a Rock N’ Gem Show.
Then we get to do our favourite part:
Open the doors and let you explore.
Stay Late Friday for the UV Exclusive
Friday night brings another experience to The International Centre.
After the regular show closes, the UV Exclusive Event runs from 8:00 PM–10:00 PM on Friday, October 16.
Under ultraviolet light, certain minerals can reveal brilliant colours and characteristics that aren't visible under ordinary lighting. It's a fascinating combination of science, geology and natural beauty — and a completely different way to experience the mineral world.
