From October 23–25, 2026, the Rock N’ Gem Show is coming to the Holiday Inn & Suites — Parkway Conference Centre for the first time, bringing together vendors from across Canada for an entire weekend dedicated to crystals, minerals, fossils, gemstones and so much more.
And Silver Cove is excited to be part of it!
Whether you've been collecting minerals for years, love searching for beautiful crystals, are fascinated by fossils or have never stepped inside a Rock N’ Gem Show before, this is your chance to come explore.
Silver Cove Is Bringing the Selection
If there's one thing we're not very good at, it's travelling light.
Silver Cove will be arriving in St. Catharines with an incredible and ever-changing selection of treasures to explore.
Think crystals, minerals, fossils, gemstones, polished stones, rough material, spheres, carvings, beads, jewelry, collector specimens, lapidary supplies, home décor and plenty of unexpected finds.
There are affordable little treasures for someone starting their first collection and impressive specimens for experienced collectors looking for something unusual.
And because our selection is always changing, even longtime Silver Cove customers never quite know what they'll discover.
Explore Booth After Booth
Silver Cove is only one part of what's waiting for you.
The St. Catharines Rock N’ Gem Show will bring together vendors from across Canada, including passionate collectors, artisans, miners, lapidary artists and small businesses.
Each vendor brings something different, which means every booth gives you another opportunity to discover something new.
You might find an incredible mineral specimen at one booth, discover a fossil at another and then stumble across a handcrafted piece of jewelry you absolutely weren't planning to buy...
...until you saw it.
That's treasure hunting.
Take your time, explore each booth, talk to the vendors and ask questions. Part of the fun is seeing just how much variety can exist under one roof.
You Don't Have to Be a Rockhound
One of our favourite things about these shows is seeing people walk through the doors who know absolutely nothing about rocks.
That's completely okay!
A Rock N’ Gem Show is just as much about discovery as it is about shopping.
You can see fossils from ancient life up close, discover minerals you've never encountered before and learn about the colours, patterns and crystal formations created naturally within our planet.
For kids, especially, one interesting rock can lead to a LOT of questions.
Where did it come from?
How did it form?
Why is it that colour?
Is that actually a fossil?!
And sometimes those questions are how a brand-new rockhound is born.
From Alberta to St. Catharines
Silver Cove calls Alberta home, but throughout show season our collection travels thousands of kilometres across Canada.
Behind every finished display are trucks, pallets, boxes and a road crew working to get an enormous amount of product safely from one community to the next.
Then everything gets unloaded, unpacked and transformed into the Silver Cove displays you'll see at the show.
It's quite the process.
But there's something pretty amazing about watching an empty venue become a place filled with crystals, fossils, minerals, jewelry, colour and people excited to explore it all.
And then, when the weekend ends?
We pack it all up and do it again.
See Minerals in a Whole New Light
Friday night brings an extra experience to St. Catharines.
On Friday, October 23 from 8:00 PM–10:00 PM, the show will host its special UV Exclusive Event.
Certain minerals react to ultraviolet light, revealing brilliant fluorescent colours that can look completely different from what you see under ordinary lighting.
It's a fascinating combination of science, geology and natural beauty — and an entirely different way to experience the mineral world.
