Fall is one of our favourite times of year at Silver Cove, because it means one thing — it’s time to hit the road!
From September through December 2026, Silver Cove will be travelling across Canada with CanGems for an incredible lineup of Rock N’ Gem Shows. From Alberta and Saskatchewan to Manitoba and Ontario, we’ll be bringing crystals, minerals, fossils, gemstones, jewelry and natural treasures to communities across the country.
CanGems is the events division of Silver Cove Ltd., and the Rock N’ Gem Show has been part of our story since 2007. What began with a passion for rocks, minerals and gemstones has grown into a travelling Canadian event that brings together collectors, families, artisans, rockhounds, crystal lovers and people who are simply curious about the natural world.
And we aren’t slowing down anytime soon!
What You’ll Find at a CanGems Rock N’ Gem Show
Walking into a Rock N’ Gem Show is a little different from walking into an ordinary shopping event.
Everywhere you look, there is something new to discover.
Visitors can explore crystals and minerals from Canada and around the world, ancient fossils, polished stones, gemstones, beads, carvings, handcrafted jewelry, lapidary supplies, home décor, collector specimens and countless one-of-a-kind treasures.
Silver Cove is the primary vendor at CanGems events, but we certainly aren’t alone. Our shows bring together a diverse group of guest vendors, including collectors, artisans, lapidary artists, miners and small businesses from across Canada.
That variety is part of what makes every Rock N’ Gem Show different.
You may arrive looking for a piece of amethyst and leave fascinated by a fossil millions of years old. You might discover a mineral you’ve never seen before, find the perfect stone for your collection or meet someone who can tell you the story behind a specimen that catches your eye.
Whether you’ve been collecting minerals for decades or you simply think rocks are cool, you’re welcome here.

Bringing the World of Rocks and Minerals Across Canada
One of the things we love most about travelling with CanGems is meeting people from communities across the country.
The world of rocks, crystals and minerals is enormous, and everyone seems to connect with it for a different reason.
Some visitors are serious mineral collectors searching for a specimen they haven’t been able to find anywhere else. Others are interested in geology, fossils or lapidary arts. Some love handcrafted gemstone jewelry, while others are looking for beautiful natural pieces to display in their homes.
Then there are the kids who walk through the doors and suddenly realize that rocks can be REALLY cool.
Those might be some of our favourite moments.
A Rock N’ Gem Show gives people the opportunity to see, touch and learn about pieces they may have previously only encountered in books, online or in museums.
It’s shopping, discovery and education all rolled into one very sparkly weekend.

Silver Cove is proudly Canadian, and supporting Canadian mining and the Canadian mineral community continues to be important to us.
Canada is home to some truly remarkable minerals and geological treasures, and whenever possible, we work to showcase Canadian material alongside specimens sourced through trusted suppliers from around the world.
The CanGems Rock N’ Gem Shows also give Canadian vendors, collectors, artisans and small businesses an opportunity to connect directly with thousands of people who share their interests.
It creates a community that extends far beyond a single weekend.
We’ve watched customers become collectors, collectors become vendors and families make the Rock N’ Gem Show an annual tradition.
That community is a huge part of why we continue travelling across Canada year after year.
Something New at Every Show
Even if you’ve attended a CanGems Rock N’ Gem Show before, there’s always a reason to come back.
Our inventory is constantly changing, and our guest vendor lineup varies from city to city. New mineral specimens arrive, new collections become available and our vendors are always creating and sourcing new pieces.
That means no two shows are exactly alike.
You never really know what you’re going to find until you start exploring.
Maybe it will be a spectacular crystal specimen.
Maybe it will be an ancient fossil.
Maybe it will be a handcrafted piece of jewelry that becomes your new favourite.
Or maybe it will be a tiny polished stone that simply makes you happy.
That’s part of the fun.
New Cities, Familiar Faces and Plenty of Rocks
Our fall 2026 tour includes some longtime CanGems favourites as well as exciting stops that are continuing to grow.
We’ll be returning to communities throughout Western Canada, including Grande Prairie, Prince George, Red Deer, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Regina, Lethbridge, Calgary and Edmonton.
We’re also heading east for an exciting Ontario run through Mississauga, St. Catharines, Ottawa and London.
Every community brings its own energy to the Rock N’ Gem Show, and we love seeing familiar faces while welcoming people who are experiencing a CanGems event for the very first time.
