Victoria Stone, or Iimori Stone, is a colorful composition of, what chemistry has found to be, a leaded glass material that was created by Dr. Satoyasu Iimori, using an unknown recipe. The original intention was to create a synthetic Jade, with the claim that the recipe was a combination of natural minerals. His son, being taught the process, was unable to re-create the process after his father's death—scientific attempts to re-create the stone have been unsuccessful. As the process was not patented, Dr. Iimori took his elusive secret to the grave in 1982.
This pendant displays a dynamic array of cyan, that ranges from pale opaque to translucently saturated—in a swirling cloud design. The silver setting is simple, and does not take away from the intrinsic beauty of the stone.
As the composition of the stone is unknown, the metaphysical properties relate to the color. Blues relate to the Throat Chakra, a center for communication and expression. Light blues are believed to encourage endurance, dependability, and originality, whereas, dark blues connect with intelligence, confidence and authority. Blue invites perspective, and helps to open the auric field and release stress and internalize transformation. As blue is also associated with sadness and mourning, too much blue can hold us in the past and prevent us from moving forward.
