not need to be cleansed or re-charged.

Selenite is a variety of the mineral, Gypsum. It is composed of Calcium Sulphate Dihydrate. The name Selenite comes from the Greek word for 'moon'. All varieties of Gypsum are very soft minerals and have a Mohs Hardness of only 2!

These carved Kakatu's (Cockatoo) are great polished Selenite specimens. The white color compliments the curves of the carvings, and the bird of tribute. This USSR era hand carved Cockatoo will be at home on any shelf or desk for display, and is a great addition to any collection.

Selenite is thought to bring clarity to the mind, shields a person from outside influences, and dispels negative energy. Selenite alongside Black Tourmaline is often used in gridding a home, space, or property.
