Ussingite is a very rare silicate mineral found within the Ilimaussaq Complex in Greenland. Ussingite has a Mohs Hardness of 6 to 7, with an irregular fracture. The color of Ussingite usually varies from pale to medium violet and red violet; can be tinted faintly purple. Ussingite is a bit of a mystery when it comes to fluorescence, some pieces fluoresce beautifully while others don't at all.

This piece of polished Ussingite is predominately grey, with small hints of lilac and various inclusions. The setting is simple, not to distract form the stone itself. This would be an elegant accessory for formal or casual attire. It is even a bit fluorescent, and gives a bright orange glow under blacklight.

Ussingite is said to be an excellent stone for addictions, and forgiveness for both yourself and for others. Ussingite is also said to help open and activate the higher Chakras.

You are purchasing one (1) specimen that is one of a kind.

Please note that although we strive to present the piece as accurately as possible through our photography, size and color may vary slightly due to the nature of natural products.
