Spirit Quartz is a variety of Quartz only found in the Magaliesberg Mountain region of South Africa where the main crystal formations are encrusted in a second generation of smaller crystals on the prism faces. The smaller crystals form outward from the original prism and are unaffected by the crystallographic orientation of the primary crystal.

This Spirit Quartz specimen has a prominent primary crystal formation, covered in mini crystals, each one with its own striking crystal point at the top with faces that catch light beautifully! The color is a soft, pastel purple/pink throughout the crystals, and the bases are stable, making these great altar or display pieces!

Metaphysically, Spirit Quartz is believed to be an extraordinary crystal for alignment and harmony. It is thought that the main energy of the primary crystal is repeated and amplified through the hundreds of smaller crystal points directed outwards. The purple variety of Spirit Quartz is said to activate the Higher Crown Chakra, and something unique about this stone is that it is believed to ease the emotional pain that comes with terminal illness.
