Seraphinite is a particular form of clinochlore, and a member of the chlorite group. It acquired its unique name because of the effect of chatoyancy causing a feather-like appearance. It has a hardness of 2-4 on the Mohs Scale, and typically is dark-green to gray in color.
Sterling silver is the brightest of all precious metals being known for its bright luster. It is also known for being very durable which makes it popular in jewelry as it will withstand the test of time.
This Seraphinite pendant is unique in that is is hinged. There is a hinge connecting the top and bottom sections. The top section is an oval laying on its side and the bottom is a reverse teardrop. The coloring in this pendant is remarkable with its feathery greens and silver wisps. A lovely pendant!
It is believed that by placing Seraphinite on the Third Eye it is easier to access self-healing. It is also thought to be one of the stones used for making angelic connections, and for opening the Crown and Higher Crown Chakras.
