Fulgurite is a natural occurrence that forms when lightning discharges into the ground fusing/vitrifying mineral grains together. They form in hollow tubes, clumps, or general masses of fused soil, sand, rock, and other organic debris depending on the location of the impact. Fulgurite is technically classified as a variety of mineraloid lechatelierite.

These Fulgurite specimens from the Sahara Desert are absolutely one-of-a-kind, each one with its own unique shape from the process of its creation. They range in size from 2.5 cm long to about 4 cm long, and the color varies from a reddish brown to a light-sand, and even nearly black. These pieces would be great for collectors young and old, or for lightning-based school projects as well!

Fulgurite has a long history of metaphysical beliefs. In Greece, specimens of Fulgurite have been found in the temple of Zeus at Mount Lykaian. It is thought that Fulgurite carries the immense energy of lightning within it, and it is frequently used as a manifestation stone. It is also thought to connect with, and empower, the Heart Chakra, Throat Chakra, and Third Eye.
