Pyrolusite is a black to very dark grey Manganese mineral in the Rutile group that is usually found in matte-black powdery-to-fibrous crusts that are sometimes found in botryoidal aggregates, and more rarely found as druzes of small prismatic to tabular dark grey metallic crystals. The hardness varies from only a 2, to a harder 6.5.
This Pyrolusite specimen is part of a special collection hand-picked by Silver Cove out of Morocco. The shape is balanced in this specimen, and sits nicely without a stand to show of the metallic dark grey Pyrolusite on the top of the stone matrix. Throughout the entire piece you can see interesting veins of the metallic Pyrolusite as well; all-in-all a beautiful example of this unique mineral.
Pyrolusite has been widely described as a stone of transformation, but it is also connected with confidence, and clearing auras. Something interesting about Pyrolusite is that it is thought to have the ability to transform or restructure energies depending on intention.
You are purchasing one (1) Pyrolusite specimen.
