Fossilized Megalodon Tooth

Weight: 45 g.
Product Type: One of a kind
Megalodon is an extinct species of shark that lived about 2.3 to 2.6 million years ago during the Early Miocene to the Pliocene era, and it is the oldest and biggest shark to ever exist. It is nearly unanimous among researches that the Megalodon belongs to the extinct Otodontidae family, instead of the Lamnidae family (which would make it closely related to the Great White Shark).
This fossilized Megalodon Tooth from South Carolina is about 8.5 cm long by 4 cm wide and has a very unique appearance with the inner bone exposed along the right side of the piece. The size would be great for wire-wrapping or for adding to a fossil collection!
