Crazy Lace Agate is a multi-layered, colorfully banded type of Agate found in Mexico. Agate is a cryptocrystalline variety of silica that has a very fine grain, and often a banded appearance. It was named by a Greek philosopher, who discovered it in what is now Sicily, and throughout history it has been used frequently for hardstone carvings.

This Crazy Lace Agate cabochon has a striking blue coloring that absolutely emphasizes the unique swirling band patterns throughout the Agate.  There is plenty of range in the blues that show up throughout this cabochon, and it has an energizing appearance. It is top-drilled, and would make a nice pendant!

Agates are thought to be grounding, stabilizing stones that are ideal for emotional, physical and mental balance. They are thought to improve concentration, acceptance of self, and letting go of internalized anger. Agates take you through the layers of yourself, and help you to learn more about who you are, letting go of blockages, and discovering what paths you should be exploring.
