Bumblebee Jasper is actually not technically a Jasper since it contains no Quartz at all! Bumblebee Jasper is the trade name for a radially grown fibrous calcite found in Indonesia that has distinctive yellow, orange, and black banding. The yellow and orange coloring comes from finely dispersed realgar (an arsenic sulfide mineral), and the black is caused by pyrite.

This Bumblebee Jasper pendant is a stunning example of this exciting stone! Along the one side there is a swirled banding pattern of grey to black that blends into the pale yellow against pale grey and a mix of vibrant orange and intense yellow patterns throughout. All of the patterns within are complimented beautifully by the sterling silver to make a fantastic casual or formal accessory!

Bumblebee Jasper has some very interesting beliefs surrounding it, one unique belief is that Bumblebee Jasper is great for encouraging healthy friendships, and helping ease feelings of jealousy. Thought to be a stone of understanding, it is believed to aid in relieving an emotionally burdened heart.
