Bumblebee Jasper is actually not a Jasper at all as it contains no Quartz; Bumblebee Jasper is the trade name for a radially grown fibrous calcite found in Indonesia that has distinctive yellow, orange, and black banding. The yellow and orange coloring comes from finely dispersed realgar (an arsenic sulfide mineral), and the black is caused by pyrite.
This polished Bumblebee Jasper cabochons have an impressively tall appearance, and the cut shows the astounding natural pattern of vibrant yellows and oranges contrasted against the grey/black. Bumblebee Jasper is unlike any other stone and would be stunning in a sterling silver setting.
Bumblebee Jasper has some very interesting beliefs surrounding it, one unique belief is that it is great for encouraging healthy friendships, and helping ease feelings of jealousy. Bumblebee Jasper is thought to be a stone of understanding, and is believed to aid in relieving an emotionally burdened heart.
